Companion page for Audibility of Loudspeaker Group-Delay Characteristics http://research.spa.aalto.fi/publications/papers/aes144_audibility/ The sound files in this web folder are related to the following conference article: J. Liski, A. Makivirta, and V. Valimaki, "Audibility of Loudspeaker Group-Delay Characteristics," in Proc. 144th AES Convention, Milan, Italy, May 2018. The sound files are examples of the signals used in the listening test described in the article. In addition, a sound file containing a pink impulse is included. The listening-test files contain the specific impulse response both forward and backward after each other. The start of the file name specifies the signal as described in the article, and the end of the name specifies whether the impulse responses are the original ones or the ones convolved with the pink impulse. For the signals that were not convolved with the pink noise, "1Wa" and "2Wd" were most of the time perceived as the same when comparing the original and the time-reversed versions of the impulse responses. For the signals "2Wa" and "3Wb" the differences were more difficult to judge and the results were almost random. Finally, the signals "2Wg" and "3Wa" were most of the time perceived as different when comparing the original and the time-reversed versions.
