Description: Contained in this package are the sound examples associated with the paper "Linear Dynamic Range Reduction of Musical Audio using an Allpass Filter Chain". The samples are provided in order that readers of the paper can hear the results of reducing dynamic range using the described technique, and judge for themselves whether the process is transparent. Isolated sounds were processed as described in Sec. III A of the paper. Musical passages were processed as described in Sec. III B of the paper. The musical passages were generated by the author from a single score, utilizing different instrument sounds in each case. Total Size: 9.0 MB Player Information: Samples are provided in standard .wav format, as produced by MATLAB's 'wavwrite' function. The samples should be playable in any standard audio player.
